Mr. Leppard has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry in the areas of engineering and engineering management. His experience includes domestic and international projects in the commercial and industrial sectors in the industry. The project size for this experience ranges from small, tenant upfit projects to large commercial and industrial facilities.

His management experience includes project management for MEP/FP systems, as both a Principal-in-Charge and a Project Manager, for projects as the prime consultant or a sub-consultant. Through this experience, he is knowledgeable about all of the building systems, coordination requirements for MEP/FP systems, and the impact of the MEP/FP systems on construction practices.

Ben’s engineering experience covers a wide variety of system and project applications. This experience provides him with valuable expertise in all of the MEP/FP engineering disciplines and an ability to evaluate various HVAC system types to maximize the benefits to the Owner. This variety of project and system types has provided him with extensive experience in all types of HVAC systems, including central chilled/hot water systems, water-cooled packaged systems, DX packaged and split system applications, VAV and constant volume air distribution systems, kitchen and laundry exhaust and supply air systems. In addition, he has extensive experience in the design and application of life safety systems, energy conservation methods and indoor air quality evaluations.

The project types of his experience include hospitality facilities, office facilities, theatres/entertainment venues, mixed-use facilities, high-rise facilities, convention centers, educational facilities, senior living, and industrial complexes.

Through his involvement in ASHRAE and as a LEED Accredited Professional, he stays abreast of current industry trends and technical advances in mechanical systems and applications. He has held leadership positions in a number of organizations, some of which are included below.
